Since 1972 my craftsman journey as a studio artist has followed where the medium has led, fueled by an intense curiosity in a variety of metalworking techniques, primary hot working of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. I have acquired the skills to produce and market my work through a diversity of non-traditional educational and work experiences. With the evolution of these skills and through experiment, a design philosophy emerged developing a personal vocabulary dealing with sculptural, decorative and architectural concerns.

What I do:
The studio designs and produces decorative, sculptural, and architectural metalwork for public, commercial and residential commissions. Liturgical, hotel, restaurant and corporate commissions encompass contemporary, traditional, and restoration work. Projects include gates, grillwork, railings, signage fountains, art furniture, and sculpture. My ideas come best by forging something, which is fairly meditative and organic approach to design. Nature has been my favorite teacher in so many ways: constructive, destructive, and awe inspiring.
